The Hungarian Community of Massachusetts
Massachusetts is home to the largest Hungarian-American community in New England — approximately 18,100 residents of Hungarian ancestry, concentrated in Greater Boston, Worcester County, and the Pioneer Valley. For decades, accessing Hungarian consular services meant a full-day trip to the Consulate General in Manhattan. The Honorary Consulate in Derry, NH changes that equation.
Greater Boston has the largest concentration of Hungarian-Americans in New England. The Hungarian community in Massachusetts includes long-established families in Newton, Brookline, and Wellesley, as well as newer arrivals in the greater metro area.
